2012: RECAP

This year has been an amazing year. After 2 years being with the Man of My Dreams, he FINALLY proposed on my birthday!!!! Of course, I said "YES"!!!! I wear his engagement ring on my finger and I cannot wait to marry him. God really do give you someone who will love and cherish you and treat you right. I count my blessings every day and EVERYDAY I thank God.

I think I'm still considered a Pambassador or a Panda Ambassador everyday of my life. I'm so blessed to have made many friends from all over the world in Singapore and it was an experience I would never forget. I enjoyed being a VIP at Sentosa while rocking out to Juliet Simms and Cher Lloyd. Its good to see that everyone still keeps in touch with everyone else. So blessed to have met and got to know each and every single one of them!

I was truly blessed to be able to attend Summer School in Daejeon, Korea thanks to the school of Politics, History and International Relations in University of Nottingham. I'm truly grateful for being able to spend my summer learning about Korean culture, architecture, economics, places of interest and also about my many friends from USA and Colombia that we still keep in touch till now. It was truly and experience I will never forget but I had to cut my studies short and come home to Malaysia because Padrekins decided to go for a major surgery on his leg hence, I cut Korea short and came home.

One of the best decision I made in my life is doing my Masters in University of Nottingham. It has given me so many experiences during my short stint at the Uni. This picture was a promotional advertisement to promote Malaysia as a place for summer school. I was involved in lots of shooting and video for advertorials for the Uni and I loved my job. It's even more fulfilling when they use your pictures on their websites, etc...

This year, I discovered the fascinating sport of archery. It may seem easy but like every sport, it will only get better with lots and lots of practice. I hope that I can buy my own bow next year and it is a very strenuous sport because you need lots of upper body strength and a focused, clear mind. I could say that I'm not bad. I could shoot an arrow into the bulls eye.

This year hasn't been a good year for Per Per. He has Malassezia on his ears which resulted in aural hematoma and after a long dose of Clavamox (antibiotics), it finally subsided but his ears are more crinkly. Prior to this, he had a maggot wound near his anus and was hospitalized for 2 weeks. He's a very old dog and he'll turn 12 in 2013 and as he grows older, I grow sadder every time I look at him.

So, for you dog owners out there, life is unfair. You spend 15 years taking care and being attached to your dog but once they see that your life is in order, they'll leave you. I make it a point to tell Per Per that I love him very, very much EVERYDAY, I'm not sure if he understands but he wags his tail in happiness every time he hears I Love You.

This year has been truly awesome and I will miss 2012 when it ends (Not end of the world, end!) But on the other hand, I can't wait to see what 2013 has in store for me. I know 2013 is going to be a great year because I'll be graduating in February!!!!! That is the highlight of 2013 and if I do get mary, it will be a highlight too... Looking back, I really dodge a bullet back then, I made all the stupid mistakes, fell in love with assholes and screwed my life up.

A little sneak peek at 2013, The Fiance and Madrekins will be attending my graduation!!!!!

On The 3rd Day Of Christmas My True Love Gave To Me...

my Christmas presents under our little tree!!!

I've been lusting after the tuxedo shorts and the sheer blouse and I've been telling it to anyone that would listen!

So, he got me this pretty sheer top that I want, in BLACK cause there's none in cream. I loved it!

I super heart this tuxedo shorts from the Kardashian Kollection!!! It's super comfy and it's so fitting.

I'm so terribly blessed and I cannot tell you how much I love the Kardashian Kollection from Dorothy Perkins. I would buy more if they had more choices, I loved the dress and the jeans but I can't even squeeze into a size 18!!! The cut was just too tiny!!!

Anyways, I'm so happy that I have so many pretty clothes!!!

hope you had a great Christmas!

On The 2nd Day of Christmas My True Love Gave To Me...

One thing I hated about the Blackberry was, it's technically useless without data because without a data plan, you can't function the wi-fi services rendering your BB useless. I didn't know such thing until I terminated my data plan because of numerous arguments with Maxis and the phone was technically useless.

Been complaining about it for months till the LOML couldn't take it anymore and got me my first Android!!! It wasn't what I had in mind, I was eyeing the Samsung S2/S3 and the Sony Ion but I love it when I'm proven wrong.

I simply adore and love my HTC One X because of its fluid and simple design. Another bonus would be the array of apps in the Play Store. I was actually contemplating about the Nokia Lumia but it doesn't have Instagram.

The camera is stunning and the display is just flawless. All the "dull" pictures on my BB seems like they came to life on my HTC. My life is right again, I'm on track with my daily bible readings, and go through my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram seamlessly. I can't imagine life without my PA, HTC.

Truly, if you're looking for a truly smartphone and you don't want to be carrying iPhones and Samsungs like any Tom, Dick or Harry, try the HTC. You'll love it once you discover it. One of the reasons why I didn't get a Samsung was because everyone from those Mat Rempits have it, to the budak sekolah, they all have it.

Even though im an Apple person (MacBookAir and iPad) I think the iPhone 5 is unoriginal, uninspired  and truly for the noobs. It has nothing new to offer, have you seen their ads? talking about gravity, ear phones , etc... Whatever that is being offered in the iPhone5, you can find it in every other iPhone. Sad to say that its getting pathetic, repetitive and downright boring. I'm not even looking forward to iPhone5S or iPhone 6...

You want to see a great inspired and original phone advert? Check this advert by Sony Xperia Z. You won't be disappointed.

On The 1st Day Of Christmas My True Love Gave To Me

The LOML surprised me with 99 stalks of roses.... the most beautiful fresh roses anyone can get and let me tell you that 99 flowers, is as heavy as a 1 year old child!!! It's such a sad case when it will finally wilt and die in a few days/weeks.

No one has ever given me roses before but with him, everything is a first. He got me my first Droid (Another post!), my first Michael Kors, My first iPad, my first diamond, etc...

He's the first that I've ever loved and wanted to have his babies... Hahahahaa. Well, he's the first that I introduced to my parents and they're OK, I guess. Not like I've had many guys before him, so, he's very special to me.

I think I'm very special to him because he treats me like a princess and he loves me dearly too. Anyways, do enjoy these lovely, lovely pictures shot by my dear sis Karin because my BB camera is just too sucky!

I'm indeed blessed. Not many people has received roses, let alone 99 stalks of roses before.... God bless us.

Birthday Week!

I just wanted a simple birthday with the one I love and we decided to go to The Hills at Damansara Heights. It was a disappointment because the menu was very limited as I don't eat lamb or beef and they didn't have my watermelon thingy! ON MY BIRTHDAY!!! Was so disappointed!

The worst thing was, The BF asked for his lamb to be VERY WELL DONE but after sending the dish back to the kitchen twice, blood still came pouring out of the meat. I'm assuming that the place is just for drinks because the food was a disappointment.

The Love of my Life insisted on getting me, my favourite Mascarpone Cheese from Australia Bakery at SEA Park. If you're wondering what O.O means, it means my One and Only.

He really changed my life this night and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you... I still haven't ironed out the logistics of it but will announce once everything is settled. Till then!

This is my lovely, lovely, dear friend from Korea that was conveniently in town on my birthday!!! I love you Kathy!!!! Don't you love my Henry Holland parrot dress?

One thing that I absolutely love about the LOML is that he always tries to make things memorable for me. He always wants me to have the best things. I remembered last year's birthday present where he got me an iPad 2 because he wanted me to be the coolest kid in Uni.

I admit that I'm spoiled rotten by him and my mom. I kept thinking about what he could possibly get me that could top the iPad 2 last year and he still managed to surprise me time after time. Put it this way, I'm wearing 15,000 MYR on my body!

We love each other very, very much and he makes me feel that all the other ex's has never really loved me. I was fucking stupid before but at least I'm smarter now. I found a real man not pussies that I used to date. None of them could ever measure up to LOML. They're not even half of the man he is...

LOML is so supportive of me and most importantly, he believes in me when I doubted myself. He's always there to help me and I can count on him to go the extra mile for me. When I went to SG, he spent 80MYR on a taxi to KLIA just to spend 15 minutes with me and to take pictures of me. I cried.

Anyways, till the next post.

My Daily Ritual

My facialist recommended these 2 great products from Thalgo. I go to her for my monthly facials and no one knows my skin better than her and my skin is a combination of normal and oily especially at the T zone. At this point, my face is covered in red pimples because my OCP isn't working and my hormones are crazy, not to mention the stress writing my dissertation!

First, I use the Thalgodermyl purifying extracts to balance the oily zones on my face, after 2 applications, my skin seems more normal than oily and I could stop using it at night and just use it in the mornings. I'm 25 this year and it's always good to invest in a good Collagen based moisturizer. For collagen based moisturizer, you should always use a good marine based collagen. If you want more expensive brands, you can try La Mer. I spent about 500MYR on this 2 products after the 15% discount on my birthday month. If you're 26 and you don't use anything on your face, at least use the collagen moisturizer.

I recently bought this lovely set from Benefit for a steal at only 160MYR!!! I hesitated before stepping into Benefit at 1 Utama but the friendly guy coaxed me in, gave me a free makeover and offered me this lovely set for a steal. I've been trying to get the Benetint at duty free airports but to no avail. Buy, glad I didn't! This lovely "box-bag" comes with a 22ml Porefessional, 12.5ml Benetint, miniature They're Real mascara and miniature Laugh With Me Lee Lee perfume!

Before I discovered Dr. Brandt's Pores No More primer, I was actually considering Benefit's Porefessional. It's cheaper than Dr. Brandts and it minimizes the appearance of fores, fine lines and it keeps your make up in place. The original price is 115MYR.

Right now, I can't live without my Benetint. I use it on my cheeks and on my lips. It's really strong so I layer it twice for a natural flush. When I first used it, I layered 3 times and it was horrible! But I normally use this on my lips before a lip color. This product lasts all day and no touch up needed!

I love the sweet scent of the perfume and I'm actually considering to get it and the mascara is just like any other mascara. I'm not an eye person because I hate how mascaras make your eye lids so stiff. I've yet to try it out, I'm just waiting for someone's wedding so I can get all dressed up.

I loved Clinique's Chubby Stick but since they only had 4 colors before and I didn't bother to visit them to se if they've added more color because I found this "Chubby Stick" by Revlon. I was fooled by it as well until I saw the word Just Bitten Kissable. It's only 23MYR at major pharmacies so it's a steal!

I loved that it's creamy texture glided on smoothly and it looks brilliant when layered on top Benetint. I got the 001 Honey/Dulce color. Very natural for my skin color!

Here's a swatch of the color and its such a sweet and natural looking colour! Fits my skin tone exceptionally well!

So, now you know my daily beauty ritual, what's yours?

mphonline, Fifty Shades Review

I love shopping for books online because it's reasonably cheaper. So far, Malaysia bookstores that offers online services like Kinokuniya hasn't disappointed me yet. In fact, I'm extremely surprised at their prompt services and delivery. My books always reach me in less than a week tops!

mphonline on the other hand, took more than 2 weeks to deliver my items which were in stock. I had a hiccup with Kinokuniya once because a particular book wasn't in stock and it still took them less than 2 weeks to deliver it to me. But mphonline, somehow managed to take more than 2 weeks and I was already giving up on ever receiving the books when it actually arrived.

Extremely bad service even though the books were cheaper. Was peer pressured into buying the 50 Shades Trilogy because EVERYONE was reading it but I wasn't willing to fork out a huge amount of money for the books because it's not intellectual reading materials. Oh, I got a discount on Zafon's Prisoner of Heaven hence, the purchase and since I enjoyed the Shadow of the Wind immensely, POH should be good!

50 Shades: I think people who actually enjoyes the book are people who lacks sexual activities in their lives. the book is written in an amateur manner with an overdose of sexual violence. It glamorizes abusive and possessive men in the name of love. According to the book, if  your lover doesn't spank, whip or torture you, he doesn't love you. Has modern romance lost its meaning? This book is a mockery of finer literature like Romeo and Juliet or works by the Bronte sisters.

I'm so disgusted at the amount of unnatural sex that they're having that I skip most sex parts to get to the storyline. The sex scenes overwhelms the mediocre story line and it makes you wonder if it's even natural for a women to get wet 25-30 times a day and a man to have an erection almost 50 times a day.

I would only read it to say that it's over rated and its so unintellectual that it makes Gempak magazine seem so much more intellectual. I shudder at the thought of erotic literature nowadays that these young girls will be reading. It is the end of Mills & Boons and the beginning of a morally corrupt society.

I seriously felt as if my brain cells were committing suicide after reading such books. Anyways, back to my intellectual books. Oh, Political books, I shall not desert you ever again.

Prisoner of Heaven: I wish I started on this book but I've yet to read this. But I'm sure as hell going to enjoy Zafon's latest work!!

Pambassador Awards Night

I was telling the organizers why I enjoyed the experience.

My bestie Lisa, We shared so much and got to know each other really well within the 4 days. I would like to see her be the next Pambassador. She's not hard core but because of pandas, she went through all the challenges without a single complaint (unlike me!) and Lisa is such a sweet heart and so patient to take me into every shop to look for a black and white dress. We talk every night and when we wake up in the morning. I'm going to miss her so much... She's the type that encourages you to go through a bad patch... I still remember her telling me to "give it my best shot, good luck, all the best" I'm so blessed to have someone so encouraging.

My first group of friends, the Taiwanese girls. Yi Ching, Aiko and Lei Lei. They are very friendly and made a scared Malaysian girl feel so welcomed... Lei Lei truly deserves to be in the Finals.

Wai Ling, Lisa and Sharan. Wai Ling is such an easy go lucky person and so easy to talk to while Sharan is just loud. But I find solace in her voice, very loud and always laughing and smiling...

My first ever friend the minute I stepped into Changi (In the bus!) is Mary. Proudly born in South Africa but currently, residing in Taiwan. She's one of the funniest, craziest person I ever know!!! We we really rocked out during the Panda Rock Out concert and she's sooooo cool!!!! Imagine, she has a Sugar Glider name Goku!!! She's also very helpful and ever so ready to help you out whenever you need it. The first time that shocked me was when she rehearsed her lines for me, she doesn't even know me and I'm a competitor but she shared her thoughts, ideas and lines with me. I felt so happy that I'm not her competitor but rather her friend.

Another one of the girls which I got to know really well is Isabelle from Hong Kong. She's so friendly and we can talk non stop about our pets! (My dogs, cats and guinea pigs and her turtles!) She looks so demure but she's so hardcore! I call anyone who windsurfs hardcore!!! Also, one of the sweetest person I know!

ME AND THE JAPANESE; NAOYA (With his many Panda props like super Kawaii magnetic finger puppets and a sleeping mask!) and YU (Great fashion straight off Shibuya!!) I wish I speak Japanese so I could have spoken to them earlier... But they are the coolest bunch I've ever met especially Naoya and he has so many Panda props!!! super KAWAII!!!!

Me and the lovely girls from Hong Kong!!! Konnie which was so focused the entire time during the competition is going to the Panda Base, I couldn't be any happier for her and lovely Carmen...

Me and Fan Di. She's from Singapore and also one of the nicest person I know. Her mom is equally sweet and very friendly. I was extremely tired from the travelling and the video shoots and when I came to the hotel, she was so welcoming!!!

I LOVE THIS GIRL!!!! I love Alicia because her laugh is so addictive and contagious!!! I got to know her really well and she's so encouraging!!!! Whenever I complete a Quest (not so successfully!) she's always there to say, "Good Job!!!" and it's so heart warming. There's never a dull moment with her and she has to put up with my complains! Till now, I still remember her voice!!! "Michelle, you wanna tweet?"

MY FAV GUY Sam from Singapore... What do I say about Sam? I simply adore him!!!! He's so motivating and so easy to talk to. He says the cheesiest things, ALMOST PHILOSOPHICAL but to me, it's funny! We had the opportunity to go on the water slides together and even though it's a competition, he was motivating me to throw the balls into the bucket. Here I was, thinking everyone is going to be selfish and concerned about themselves but this guy did not treat me like a competitor but more of a friend and that's why I simply adore him!!!

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the Pambassadors. The 4 finals going to Panda Base in Chengdu deserves it, no one is more deserving than them and I feel nothing but happiness for them. The semi finals was hard core extreme and they have showed dedication, strength and passion for the cause and they deserved to be the winners.

I will continue to support them and I will pray that one of them end up as a Pambassador so they can panda-nap a baby panda for me! hahahahaha.... I'm so proud to be able to be apart of this event and I had fun, I climbed all the way up the pole and even though I came down crying, it was something I would never do if it wasn't for Lisa.

I met amazing people, I thought I loved pandas but these people are panda crazy!!!! Every single one of them are so passionate about pandas that I feel shy.

Anyways, I had a great time and again, it was a once in a lifetime thingy which I will forever cherish!!!! To everyone of the Pambassadors, All The Best!!!!

Till the next time!

~you know you miss me~

PS: I may have stole some pictures here and there and from Chengdu Pambassador, so hope you don't mind!
