BIRTHDAY WISH LIST 2012

I love Diary of a Wimpy Kid and I find them soooo cute and my phase right now, is extremely light reading. A far cry from all my political/history books. I've always wanted the whole set but I'll let you guys buy it for me instead! The best place to get the box set and all the title is at Popular, 1 Utama.

I recently rediscovered my love for Roald Dahl books whilst in Korea as I was so bored and the only English books were Roald Dahl's and I bought 3 on the spot for my long flight back to Malaysia. Now, I'm addicted to them and I want to complete my collection.  The best place to get the whole collection of all Roald Dahl titles is in Popular, 1 Utama. (Surprised me too!!!)

I've come to love the intricacies of pop up books and ever since my first pop up book, The Little prince, I can't get enough... I love collecting them!!! The first book I've ever read and introduced me to the wonderful world of books was Alice in Wonderland, a birthday gift from my grandma so, I kinda grew up loving Alice in Wonderland. Please check the availability of this book online before going to the bookstore. Most likely, you can order it from Borders.

My favourite play is Wicked and those of you who knew me well enough knew that I flew to Singapore and watched Wicked, Front row seats!!! Let me remember and relive the moment of Wicked through this pop up book!! Not sure if this is available in Malaysia but if you love me sooo much, you try and get it for me.

For Christmas, The BF got me Guess How Much I Love You and I absolutely adored it!!! Imagine my excitement when I found this at Borders, and my disappointment when I could no longer find it. Seriously, this is the most delightfully written story about competing rabbits, competing about who loves who more!!! You could get this from Borders.

This is another pop up book and I loved Wicked but after Wicked, there was the Wonderful Wizard Of Oz!!! Please check the availability of the book online and order it at Borders.

I loved Edward Monkton because he's an interesting fellow. Just Kidding. I find his work a breathe of fresh air and eye opening stories with moral values and sometimes quirky storyline. I got 4 of his books already and would love these to complete my collection! Please check the availability of the books online before going to bookstores.

I would love vouchers from Sereni & Shentel because I simply love them!!!! I don't mind any vouchers but I really, really want the Ice Ice Baby Voucher and New Money Voucher. I'm not materialistic and will be happy with any vouchers...

I love this Silver Bangle from GordonMax the moment I set eyes on it at Tangs. I know it's a "little" pricey but it's so gorgeous that I have to list it here...

One of my favorite genres for reading are Greek and Egyptian Mythology and I wanted to be an archaeologist when I was younger and i distinctly remembered my Primary school teacher asking me, "Do you even know what an archaeologist is?" This book would really be appreciated!  Treasures of Tutankhamun by Jaromir Malek at 154.90 RM at Times Bookstore, Sunway Giza.

Go Ask Alice is the type of book that keeps you in suspense and once you're done with it, you'll start thinking about life in general. You can get this from major bookstores.

I love the weird and the disgusting. If a book can disgust you, you know that you're learning something and I've wanted to get this book but you may have to order it online from Kinokuniya.

Heard this book was "as funny as hell" and since i'm a funny person, I would like this book and I think you can get it at major bookstores but, if you can't, you can get it from Times Bookstore, Sunway Giza.

Me and my iPad would love it if you could get this Gelaskin for my birthday, you need to preorder it and it takes time to deliver so, please pre order way before my birthday! This costs about 129RM.

I love dogs and when the story is about a dog that's a matchmaker, you know I'm gonna love it!!! You can find this book at Borders.

I love building things. I love nanoblocks but the problem with nanoblocks is, It's not challenging enough. I can build a nanoblock building within 1 hours and this LEGO Modular Building is on my wish list because it will keep me occupied for a few days at least!! But this one costs 799MYR at Toys R Us and I don't think anyone will get this for me, but I'm just gonna list it here.

This is the other Modular Building by Lego and this is the Town Hall and there is actually many more Modular Buildings, but this 2 boxes are the ones available in Malaysia. This one is 899 MYR. But, it's HUGE!!!

I saw this at Toys R Us and its 160 MYR and I like this just to put into my SpongeBob collection. Doubt I'll open it but I don't mind this.
I Love Mr. Krabs and just like SpongeBob, I love the Krusty Krab, again, I can't get this one here either so, if you want to make a girl very happy, the girl would love this as a birthday present!!!

The worst part about being in Malaysia, is the obscenely priced Lego and the insufficient stock. I would
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE This one from Lego called Glove World. But again, can't get this in Malaysia.
I LOVE this box as well, but I can't find it in Malaysia so, If you're over-the-sea, and you would like to make me happy on my BIRTH DAY, then, you should get this for me. :)

I saw the last 3 boxes of this at Lego Shop, Level 2, Bangsar Village II nearby Starbucks and this box cost about 310 MYR and if you're buying something for me, I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this box!!! This is the Bikini Bottom Undersea Party!!

I plan on getting this Special Edition Red Herring dress from Debenhams for my birthday dinner as my birthday dress. But at 229MYR, I really have to consider...

I fell in love with this Julien Macdonald dress at Debenhams but at a whopping 300MYR+, I don't think I should get it right? Since, I'm only going to be wearing it for my birthday. Sigh.

I would really, really want this dress by Henry Holland at Debenhams!!! I LOVE the parrot motif since it's fun and flirty. I've been so scared to try the dress on just in case I fall in love with it even more!!! This dress is 239MYR!!

I always get excited when it's close to my birthday, and some people, *ahem* my brother, shini kumar *ahem* needs to prepare early so, here's the list for everyone to see!!!

Like I've mentioned before, I'm already very happy with what I have and I'm truly blessed so, these gifts are luxuries not necessities. I don't expect to get every single thing on this list and it's just a place where I list every single thing that I want...

Anyways, many thanks in advance. Sorry that I haven't been replying or calling or SMS-ing as I'm currently writing my dissertation. Will keep in touch once I'm done in September, aight? LOL! :)

Till then, keep smiling and stay cool!!!

Lotsa love,
Michelle May.

Holika Holika: Bulgarian Rose

It all started when I was in Korea where I discovered Holika Hlika by accident because it was during a scorching hot summer and I was looking for a cold drink to quench my thirst and in Korea, promoters will stand outside the store giving you free stuff just to go into the store. The promoter at Holika Holika, Korea was giving out cold bottles of water and I had to go in.

I bought 40 packs of facial masks and they gave me lots of miniature Bulgarian Rose to try. I managed to keep my skin soft and supple in Korea was all thanks to Holika Holika. Too bad I didn't manage to buy it before I left Korea and months later, I keep reminiscing about a certain rose moisturizer and I stumbled upon Holika Holika in Sunway Pyramid!!!

Was so excited and rushed home to finish my moisturizer and got The BF to buy it for me from Times Square, since he was there and I got the Bulgarian Rose Petal Skin and 12 Hour Moisturizing Cream.
The Petal Skin is somewhat the Toner and the cream is the moisturizer.

Everything is in Korean that it reminds me of being in Korea. I could not understand, read or write or speak Korean but I love their stuff. I've never liked Asian stuff until I was forced to spend the summer in Korea. I learnt to appreciate their food, culture and K-Pop!!! (Fantastic Baby!!!!!)

The BF and The Familia was shocked but it's all good since I came home with 2 certs in Korean culture and Spanish Language. Still no idea how I did it. Anyways, I love the Petal Skin because the smell is sooo soothing, not overwhelming but soothing and it relaxes your hectic mind.

The cream is light, and keeps your skin hydrated and the scent reminds you of pretty pink things. I have no idea what that means but, I just cannot get enough of the scent. It's that wonderful!

~you know I rose you~

Online Shopping: Kensapothecary (UPDATED)

I can't help shopping online and now, since my favorite brand: Dr. Brandt is available online, I'm so damn happy and excited!!! I'm in the phase where I'm buying random stuff online just to see if they do a good job delivering it, and their customer service. I've previously bought a large undisclosed amount from Dr. Brandt and I decided to check the website out, plus, I get 20MYR just for signing up!!

I'm so impressed with their customer service and their prompt delivery. I received my package the next working day DURING THE BUSY RAYA SEASON and I love the way it was packaged and the care it went into the package! Once you unbox the big box, you'll receive your stuff all bubble wrapped  to keep them safe and sound and snuggly!

Unwrapping the bubble wrap, I received my Dr. Brandt book and my Laura Mercier eyelash curler. I had a problem with my order (Forgetful me, forgot to use the 20MYR voucher) and Diana (I guess was in charge of customer problems!) had to cancel my cart and called me a few times to help me place the order and we found out that the voucher is only for products and not accessories, since I bought a book and an eye lash curler, it's considered accessories. But everything ended well and they have a very happy customer in their hands!

I have to say about this Laura Mercier Eyelash Curler that, it's THE BEST eyelash curler... EVER!!! It's so cute and compact and so easy to use that a noob like me managed to curl my "rooftop" lashes. My mom actually thought that I was using mascara when she saw me because my lashes was perfectly pointed skyward and it's all thanks to this nifty little device. i got it for 69MYR and I'll take pictures soon!

But, this was my best purchase so far!!! I've used the traditional scissors looking ones from SaSa and Shu Uemura but none of them come close to this one. It helps that it's compact and I take it with me in my bag. Without mascara, it lasts about 5 hours (more or less!) and with mascara, it lasts the whole day.

Second thing I bought was this book by Dr. Brandt. I use his products and I love it and this book got me on "youthful". Every woman wants to be beautiful and if you don't know how to take care of yourself, you need to read this book. I'm a lazy woman so, I really need to change my habits. I got this fro 89MYR but this is the last copy. (Sorry!) Anyways I enjoyed this book and my purchases.

Here's the screenshot of kensapothecary and do drop by for a visit and to browse their wide array of delicious, beautiful offerings. However, the only thing I don't like about the website would be, there is no "VIEW ALL" button. To view all the products, you need to go page by page and I'm the type that likes to see all the products in one page. But, you can be assured that you can shop at ease and at the comfort of your personal surroundings here. Do drop by, sign up and you automatically get 20MYR for your first product purchase!!!

Kensapothecary was having a promotion online that, with a purchase of Dr. Brandt Flexitone BB Cream (179MYR), you'll get 2 FREE deluxe Laura Mercier products which is a dusting powder and a mini fan brush. I love the BB Cream because it's a one shade fits all and it goes on oh so smoothly.

I read some online magazines and I found out that Dr. Sebagh has one of the most potent acne/pimple gel. Unfortunately, it works great but with a hefty price tag of 349MYR. One thing about buying from kenspothecary is the free samples that the give out. They're so generous with their samples! I had to buy this because my skin was breaking out so terribly.

Hair Fall

I've always wanted long straight hair but because of genetics, my hair falls like leaves to the ground and when I'm stressful, it gets even worst. The white tiles at The BF house will be covered with my hair and he complains and attempts to pick every single strand of hair in futile. I've been chopping my hair off until I discovered these products. I don't do advertisements so I tested and this is my testimony and I've tried a lot of products that claims to cure hair fall but these are the products that worked for me!

Did not plan on buying this but I bought some other products from Yves Rocher and they offered this Verveine Energising All Over Foaming Gel and you can use it on your hair and body. Using normal shampoos such as Rejoice, Head and Shoulders my hair will drop by the clumps, but using this, it doesn't fall AT ALL. At most, 1-3 strands, max. It contains SLS though. I normally blame my hair fall on SLS but somehow, this product is so impressive and I will buy it again. The retail price is 23MYR but I got this for 9MYR.

This is an ALL NATURAL shampoo without SLS and it's really good for your scalp and hair. I usually buy my MooGoo products from Vitacare at Sunway Giza because I love the customer service there. They're very helpful and ever smiling. Like all SLS-free shampoo, this one doesn't lather easily and I'm not used to it, but after repetitively telling yourself that it's good for you and after using it for some time, I got used to it, Unfortunately, you need to double wash if your hair is oily. Retails at 59MYR.

I went to Yves Rocher for a serum that will prevent tangling and hair fall and they recommended this. The smell is very fragrant like olives and unlike styling products that will "harden" your hair, this oe, leaves it soft, manageable and straight. I'll spritz it on my comb and on my hair and it detangles my hair, leaving it soft and smooth. Very good product and it leaves your hair to stay the way it's styled. This retails fro 44MYR. Not sure if I got it at a discount or not because I have a Yves Rocher card.

I love SUKIN products because it's natural and it works. Not many natural products actually works but, you can always count on sukin (and MooGoo!) I use this conditioner after shampooing and it promises to detangle, nourish and make your hair strong. The only problem with it, is the packaging. I find it really difficult to squeeze the product out. As usual, I buy my sukin stuff from Vitacare Pharmacy in Sunway Giza because they carry the whole range of sukin and MooGoo. Can't remember how much this was, it should be either 28MYR or 38 MYR.

~you know you trust me~
