I was telling the organizers why I enjoyed the experience.
My bestie Lisa, We shared so much and got to know each other really well within the 4 days. I would like to see her be the next Pambassador. She's not hard core but because of pandas, she went through all the challenges without a single complaint (unlike me!) and Lisa is such a sweet heart and so patient to take me into every shop to look for a black and white dress. We talk every night and when we wake up in the morning. I'm going to miss her so much... She's the type that encourages you to go through a bad patch... I still remember her telling me to "give it my best shot, good luck, all the best" I'm so blessed to have someone so encouraging.
My first group of friends, the Taiwanese girls. Yi Ching, Aiko and Lei Lei. They are very friendly and made a scared Malaysian girl feel so welcomed... Lei Lei truly deserves to be in the Finals.
Wai Ling, Lisa and Sharan. Wai Ling is such an easy go lucky person and so easy to talk to while Sharan is just loud. But I find solace in her voice, very loud and always laughing and smiling...
My first ever friend the minute I stepped into Changi (In the bus!) is Mary. Proudly born in South Africa but currently, residing in Taiwan. She's one of the funniest, craziest person I ever know!!! We we really rocked out during the Panda Rock Out concert and she's sooooo cool!!!! Imagine, she has a Sugar Glider name Goku!!! She's also very helpful and ever so ready to help you out whenever you need it. The first time that shocked me was when she rehearsed her lines for me, she doesn't even know me and I'm a competitor but she shared her thoughts, ideas and lines with me. I felt so happy that I'm not her competitor but rather her friend.
Another one of the girls which I got to know really well is Isabelle from Hong Kong. She's so friendly and we can talk non stop about our pets! (My dogs, cats and guinea pigs and her turtles!) She looks so demure but she's so hardcore! I call anyone who windsurfs hardcore!!! Also, one of the sweetest person I know!
KUNG FU PANDA!
WE GOT PHOTO BOMBED!!!
ME AND THE JAPANESE; NAOYA (With his many Panda props like super Kawaii magnetic finger puppets and a sleeping mask!) and YU (Great fashion straight off Shibuya!!) I wish I speak Japanese so I could have spoken to them earlier... But they are the coolest bunch I've ever met especially Naoya and he has so many Panda props!!! super KAWAII!!!!
Me and the lovely girls from Hong Kong!!! Konnie which was so focused the entire time during the competition is going to the Panda Base, I couldn't be any happier for her and lovely Carmen...
Me and Fan Di. She's from Singapore and also one of the nicest person I know. Her mom is equally sweet and very friendly. I was extremely tired from the travelling and the video shoots and when I came to the hotel, she was so welcoming!!!
I LOVE THIS GIRL!!!! I love Alicia because her laugh is so addictive and contagious!!! I got to know her really well and she's so encouraging!!!! Whenever I complete a Quest (not so successfully!) she's always there to say, "Good Job!!!" and it's so heart warming. There's never a dull moment with her and she has to put up with my complains! Till now, I still remember her voice!!! "Michelle, you wanna tweet?"
MY FAV GUY Sam from Singapore... What do I say about Sam? I simply adore him!!!! He's so motivating and so easy to talk to. He says the cheesiest things, ALMOST PHILOSOPHICAL but to me, it's funny! We had the opportunity to go on the water slides together and even though it's a competition, he was motivating me to throw the balls into the bucket. Here I was, thinking everyone is going to be selfish and concerned about themselves but this guy did not treat me like a competitor but more of a friend and that's why I simply adore him!!!
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the Pambassadors. The 4 finals going to Panda Base in Chengdu deserves it, no one is more deserving than them and I feel nothing but happiness for them. The semi finals was hard core extreme and they have showed dedication, strength and passion for the cause and they deserved to be the winners.
I will continue to support them and I will pray that one of them end up as a Pambassador so they can panda-nap a baby panda for me! hahahahaha.... I'm so proud to be able to be apart of this event and I had fun, I climbed all the way up the pole and even though I came down crying, it was something I would never do if it wasn't for Lisa.
I met amazing people, I thought I loved pandas but these people are panda crazy!!!! Every single one of them are so passionate about pandas that I feel shy.
Anyways, I had a great time and again, it was a once in a lifetime thingy which I will forever cherish!!!! To everyone of the Pambassadors, All The Best!!!!
Till the next time!
~you know you miss me~
PS: I may have stole some pictures here and there and from Chengdu Pambassador, so hope you don't mind!
