Birthday Week!

I just wanted a simple birthday with the one I love and we decided to go to The Hills at Damansara Heights. It was a disappointment because the menu was very limited as I don't eat lamb or beef and they didn't have my watermelon thingy! ON MY BIRTHDAY!!! Was so disappointed!

The worst thing was, The BF asked for his lamb to be VERY WELL DONE but after sending the dish back to the kitchen twice, blood still came pouring out of the meat. I'm assuming that the place is just for drinks because the food was a disappointment.

The Love of my Life insisted on getting me, my favourite Mascarpone Cheese from Australia Bakery at SEA Park. If you're wondering what O.O means, it means my One and Only.

He really changed my life this night and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you... I still haven't ironed out the logistics of it but will announce once everything is settled. Till then!

This is my lovely, lovely, dear friend from Korea that was conveniently in town on my birthday!!! I love you Kathy!!!! Don't you love my Henry Holland parrot dress?

One thing that I absolutely love about the LOML is that he always tries to make things memorable for me. He always wants me to have the best things. I remembered last year's birthday present where he got me an iPad 2 because he wanted me to be the coolest kid in Uni.

I admit that I'm spoiled rotten by him and my mom. I kept thinking about what he could possibly get me that could top the iPad 2 last year and he still managed to surprise me time after time. Put it this way, I'm wearing 15,000 MYR on my body!

We love each other very, very much and he makes me feel that all the other ex's has never really loved me. I was fucking stupid before but at least I'm smarter now. I found a real man not pussies that I used to date. None of them could ever measure up to LOML. They're not even half of the man he is...

LOML is so supportive of me and most importantly, he believes in me when I doubted myself. He's always there to help me and I can count on him to go the extra mile for me. When I went to SG, he spent 80MYR on a taxi to KLIA just to spend 15 minutes with me and to take pictures of me. I cried.

Anyways, till the next post.

My Daily Ritual

My facialist recommended these 2 great products from Thalgo. I go to her for my monthly facials and no one knows my skin better than her and my skin is a combination of normal and oily especially at the T zone. At this point, my face is covered in red pimples because my OCP isn't working and my hormones are crazy, not to mention the stress writing my dissertation!

First, I use the Thalgodermyl purifying extracts to balance the oily zones on my face, after 2 applications, my skin seems more normal than oily and I could stop using it at night and just use it in the mornings. I'm 25 this year and it's always good to invest in a good Collagen based moisturizer. For collagen based moisturizer, you should always use a good marine based collagen. If you want more expensive brands, you can try La Mer. I spent about 500MYR on this 2 products after the 15% discount on my birthday month. If you're 26 and you don't use anything on your face, at least use the collagen moisturizer.

I recently bought this lovely set from Benefit for a steal at only 160MYR!!! I hesitated before stepping into Benefit at 1 Utama but the friendly guy coaxed me in, gave me a free makeover and offered me this lovely set for a steal. I've been trying to get the Benetint at duty free airports but to no avail. Buy, glad I didn't! This lovely "box-bag" comes with a 22ml Porefessional, 12.5ml Benetint, miniature They're Real mascara and miniature Laugh With Me Lee Lee perfume!

Before I discovered Dr. Brandt's Pores No More primer, I was actually considering Benefit's Porefessional. It's cheaper than Dr. Brandts and it minimizes the appearance of fores, fine lines and it keeps your make up in place. The original price is 115MYR.

Right now, I can't live without my Benetint. I use it on my cheeks and on my lips. It's really strong so I layer it twice for a natural flush. When I first used it, I layered 3 times and it was horrible! But I normally use this on my lips before a lip color. This product lasts all day and no touch up needed!

I love the sweet scent of the perfume and I'm actually considering to get it and the mascara is just like any other mascara. I'm not an eye person because I hate how mascaras make your eye lids so stiff. I've yet to try it out, I'm just waiting for someone's wedding so I can get all dressed up.

I loved Clinique's Chubby Stick but since they only had 4 colors before and I didn't bother to visit them to se if they've added more color because I found this "Chubby Stick" by Revlon. I was fooled by it as well until I saw the word Just Bitten Kissable. It's only 23MYR at major pharmacies so it's a steal!

I loved that it's creamy texture glided on smoothly and it looks brilliant when layered on top Benetint. I got the 001 Honey/Dulce color. Very natural for my skin color!

Here's a swatch of the color and its such a sweet and natural looking colour! Fits my skin tone exceptionally well!

So, now you know my daily beauty ritual, what's yours?

mphonline, Fifty Shades Review

I love shopping for books online because it's reasonably cheaper. So far, Malaysia bookstores that offers online services like Kinokuniya hasn't disappointed me yet. In fact, I'm extremely surprised at their prompt services and delivery. My books always reach me in less than a week tops!

mphonline on the other hand, took more than 2 weeks to deliver my items which were in stock. I had a hiccup with Kinokuniya once because a particular book wasn't in stock and it still took them less than 2 weeks to deliver it to me. But mphonline, somehow managed to take more than 2 weeks and I was already giving up on ever receiving the books when it actually arrived.

Extremely bad service even though the books were cheaper. Was peer pressured into buying the 50 Shades Trilogy because EVERYONE was reading it but I wasn't willing to fork out a huge amount of money for the books because it's not intellectual reading materials. Oh, I got a discount on Zafon's Prisoner of Heaven hence, the purchase and since I enjoyed the Shadow of the Wind immensely, POH should be good!

50 Shades: I think people who actually enjoyes the book are people who lacks sexual activities in their lives. the book is written in an amateur manner with an overdose of sexual violence. It glamorizes abusive and possessive men in the name of love. According to the book, if  your lover doesn't spank, whip or torture you, he doesn't love you. Has modern romance lost its meaning? This book is a mockery of finer literature like Romeo and Juliet or works by the Bronte sisters.

I'm so disgusted at the amount of unnatural sex that they're having that I skip most sex parts to get to the storyline. The sex scenes overwhelms the mediocre story line and it makes you wonder if it's even natural for a women to get wet 25-30 times a day and a man to have an erection almost 50 times a day.

I would only read it to say that it's over rated and its so unintellectual that it makes Gempak magazine seem so much more intellectual. I shudder at the thought of erotic literature nowadays that these young girls will be reading. It is the end of Mills & Boons and the beginning of a morally corrupt society.

I seriously felt as if my brain cells were committing suicide after reading such books. Anyways, back to my intellectual books. Oh, Political books, I shall not desert you ever again.

Prisoner of Heaven: I wish I started on this book but I've yet to read this. But I'm sure as hell going to enjoy Zafon's latest work!!
