Valentine's Day

Waaaay much happier times when he threw me this really amazing party! He loves making people happy.

I feel so horrible with the new semester. In fact, i feel so upset. This semester, we are only able to spend once a week with each other. When I have classes, he's free. When my class is over, his is just beginning. I love it that he's so serious about Uni and church but I feel so neglected.

Im going to avoid all forms of media on Valentine's Day because it's so depressing... to have but not to hold. Anyways, we spent our little pathetic Valentine's Day on Sunday. He's trying, I know but I feel so depressed. We had Little Penang Cafe for lunch and Dave's for dinner.

He wanted to get me a dress as a present but I didn't find any that I liked. Will probably go shopping again soon. This Valentine's Day will be spend in class with my Dean all the way till 9PM. If you're going to be spending your Valentine's Day with your loved ones, I'm sincerely happy for you but I don't wanna hear about it.

To all those love birds out there, HAPPY VALENTINES DAY. Enjoy yourself but please raise a glass and dedicate it to those who are in love but are not able to spend Valentine's Day together.

I'm Artsy Fartsy!

There were times when I couldn't sleep, or couldn't focus. Quilling helped me so much in those times when i need some sort of project. I made each and every single one of this piece by hand and it took hours! Oh, quilling is not cheap in Malaysia! In 2 months, I've spent almost 300MYR on stuff, papers, glue, etc.... The teddy bears are made of high quality, imported Oven baked Clay and the mould is expensive.

Spent so much of time and money and i love them too much to sell. The photo frames are from IKEA but I painted them with 3 coats of paint and they are lacquered twice to give them a beautiful, glossy finish but still keep their wooden texture. I'm interested in selling them, but I don't know the price and where to start. Any suggestions?

I do need some time to make one single plaque because of my MA schedule. Doing your MA full time is a killer! Oh, if you quill and you need frames, do holla at me. I have 13X18cm and 30X40cm in an assortment of bright colors and they are suitable for storing your quilled masterpieces. The basic frame is from IKEA NYTTJA which I used beautiful Japanese motif cloth to adorn the borders as seen in the Ornate Cross and Snowflake photo frame. Prices are negotiable.

The 2 completed frames! Such a productive holiday that I enjoyed my craft sessions immensely.
Quilled this whole frame by hand. My first attempt at quilling and it surprisingly turned out very well. Hope you like it, though, it's all basic shapes and designs.
This was the bear one. And no, I didn't buy the bears and attached it to my frames, I made these bears from scratch.
The finished product of the bears. After baking them for 30-45 minutes, they come out hard and cute.... just like that.
When the bears are baking, you can see moisture, being sucked out of it and the bears looked like they were sweating in the oven!
I would make the frames as well but 5MYR for 3 frames at Ikea, It saves time and I just have to paint it and design the frames.

Been extremely busy with arts and crafts and my new hobby: Quilling is just so intricate and lovely. Since, I'm on a long break, might as well make a good use of my time and be more productive.

Been wanting to create frames for a long time because there were just too many ideas going around in this noggin of mine. Might as well churn some of them out to make space for more new ideas. And to use some of my old crafts ribbons and stuff.

My Christmas?

This was the Christmas tree LOML bought for me because I love Christmas trees and though money is a bit tight, he still got me the tree! Compared to the teeny weeny tree I got myself!
And Santa visited and got me loads of gifts!!! I got a set of books, a RUSS bear named Hazel and a very nice and thoughtful book that I love very much: Guess How Much I Love You? oh, and Guerlain chocolates too!!!!
Believe it or not, I spent 100MYR on these hairbands! The silver one is from Sereni & Shentel from their limited edition Christmas Set and the red and multi colored one is from Kenji in Pavillion.
A collection of my hairbands which I love a lot! The top 4 are from Sereni & Shentel and the bottom 2 are from Kenji. Lovely, no?

Christmas was very interesting and at the end, I had fun during Christmas with LOML. He got me loads of gifts and I just gave him hugs and kisses. LOL!

He doesn't care, he said he likes seeing me happy. Anyhoo, I love these hairbands, what do you think?

This was all I could secretly snap on my BB after paying 5$ per entry. They do not allow us to take pictures which was freakingly stupid as!!! After going through the wardrobe, you get to see mythical creatures, map of Narnia and so much more.

I have no idea how my mom can actually destroy a picture of me sitting on the Ice Queen's throne. Was in love with the picture. I enjoyed my time here in "Narnia" but I still think that the "NO PICTURES" rule is fucked up.

My Art on Nails

22/12-7/01, For Wicked the musical, I painted my nails, Wickedly Green! Green nail polish from The Face Shop. I love this color because it's bright and the paint spread easily.
For the week of 31/10/2011, I'm wearing "Springflowers" on my nails. Like it? It's exactly the same application and effect like Sally Hansen's Salon Effects but a fraction of the price. You can find lots of designs at Stardust, Fahrenheit, KL. Price: 18.90MYR.

This week's nail is all thanks to Sally Hansen. Got this box of Saloon Effects strips and I swear by them!! The best part? Lotsa design too!! But I'm waiting till Christmas for MORE designs to get shipped to Malaysia. It's really easy and super fast. (Perfect for people like me!)

It was a bored weekend and I just splurged on some Rimmel nail colours. I bought a whole lot of 60 Seconds Nail Polish.

Here's the ones I used:

4) 285 Style Hunter
5) 615 Fast & Fuchsia
6) 430 Coralicious

I'm thinking of getting more! Check Rimmel London out for more products or you can get them from Watson's or Parkson, 1 Utama. They're range are affordable (hence, I bought 6 bottles and counting) and I just love the quality of their products.

It spreads out well, not think or gunky, the colours last really long and remains as bright as the day you first applied it and I swear by Rimmel Nail Rescue. Use it for 14 days and read the directionsto achieve desired results.

Quilling Update

I fell in love with quilling, before this, I love working with wood, paper crafts and even straws. But I wanted to broaden my horizon and besides my deep love for Nanoblocks, I need a new hobby to release stress. I love to make personalized photo frames and recently been experimenting with Sculpey Polymer clay, etc...

I recently saw the most beautiful piece of quilling work on a photo frame which prompted me to decide to self learn this beautiful art. I was all over Damansara and KL searching for tools which was the Slotted tool and Needle Quilling Tool but to no avail. I was actually hoping to get beginner kits but almost all bookstores has tones of kits for Origami. I guess Origami is a more popular form of paper art rather than quilling.

Nearly gave up until I found Aifel and Crafty Diva and it was reasonably priced and when I SMSed the number given, I was promptly replied and I was hooked, I transferred the money on the spot and will hope to get my stuff in 2-3 days! Super stoked.

I bought a promo pack which includes a "basic set" and a book which cost around 100MYR and 7MYR for delivery.

This is the book, perfect for beginners- Paper Quilling For The First Time.

The Basic Kit which includes the SLOTTED TOOL, QUILLING CIRCLE SIZER & FLOWERS & FRIENDS KIT.

Here's a sample of a few beautifully intricate quilling works of art!!!! I could only hope that I could create such beautiful artwork with more practice!

Pre Xmas!

We had Turkey, Meatloaf, Shrimp, Garden Salad with Bacon and Eggs, Roast Potatoes. Trust me when I say that It was delicioso!!!!
Our beautiful Yule Log cake which we had to rush to look for!!! It's so pretty and delicious. The chocolate wasn't very sweet like we expected it to be. But since we bought it from Australian Confectionary, we didn't have to worry. They sell only the best cakes!
Ah Gun is such a bad influence! Brought cigars and even though I look absolutely horrible, it was because I just landed in KLIA, cooked potatoes, salad and cleaned the place.
See? Ah Gun is making everyone smoke his cigar!!! LOL! We had tonnes of fun!!!
Daddykins was clearly enjoying himself! They finished my Dewar's and having such fun smoking away!
Candy cheh brought an Argentinean Red Wine and the men was trying to open it!!! LOL!
Aunty Serena and Mommykins became the expert at turkey carving and thanks to them, the turkey wasn't dismembered in a horrible manner!

Pre Xmas was absolutely heavenly and fun!!! It's our first Christmas and it was all thanks to Yan!! She and Ah Gun ordered the Stuffed Turkey from Jaya Grocer and you should really try the turkey! I've always thought turkey was dry and tastes like chicken breast meat.

This turkey? was moist, succulent, and marinated in such a manner that flavors keep bursting in your mouth!!!! Then, we decided to get a cartons of beer and throw in a bottle of scotch and invited a few people and ta-daaa!!! A PARTY!!!

After eating, we gambled as usual. I was the winner. I went in the game with 1MYR but left with 33MYR!!! T'was a great day!!! Drinking, cigars, food, cake, gambling and lots laughter. Somehow, I'm looking forward to the next Xmas already.

Me and Mommykins are so glad we got on the plane and not spend a lonely Christmas alone in SG!!

Restaurants To Try in Singapore.

Top on my list is CUT by Wolfgang Puck. Honestly, if you don't know who he is, you need to stop being so ignorant. I don't know how to cook, and yet, Gosh!!! Anyways, in a nut shell, he is a celebrity chef, actor and owner of award winning restaurants. He is known as "The Greatest Chef In The World" and a 3 course meal here will costs roughly 300SGD per person more or less. CUT has branches in beverly Hills and Las Vegas.
High Society is a record label founded by That CD Shop, Singapore and this place is perfect for hi teas, or light meals. Didn't have time to try it out, but it's definitely on my MUST TRY list for the next visit.
Daniel Boulud is much known because his cooking show After Hours with Daniel on AFC. He's the owner of many Michelin 3 Star restaurants and also one The Great Chefs.

SINGAPORE DAY 2:

This time in Sinhapore, we lived really near to Orchard Rd. Makes it so much easier to shop, and we spend a lot of time in Orchard. What we didn't expect in Singapore is this!!! We were literally trapped with no way out!!!

When the water subsided, we immediately took a cab to East Coast for some yummylicious seafood!!!
We couldn't help it since Singapore has some great Lobster Salad that we had to try this dish!!! OMG!!! You can literally taste the freshness of the tender meat, and the meat is so fresh that it has a little crunch in it and with the fruit salad, it's out of this world!
This is the Special Prawns which the sauce is creamy and tangy and delicious.
This tofu was specially made for us. It's not available on the menu but they were nice enough to make it for us. Made us feel special!

The restaurant we went to was: Jumbo Seafood Restaurant in East Coast Seafood Centre. It's like loads of seafood restaurants and you'll be spoilt for choice! Best part? It's by the sea!!!

Living so close to Orchard Rd does have it's benefits. We get to enjoy the amazing Christmas lights in Orchard. Last year, it was pink or red and this year is blue. Isn't it just damn beautiful?

Charlie Brown Cafe, Singapore.

Discovered a nice, quaint, little cafe in Singapore and I immediately fell in love with its theme. I used to love Snoopy, Woodstock, Linus and etc since I was little. Used to own a pencil box, notebook, stationeries and I loved them.

Well, I loved that the food has cute little faces on them and the best breakfast that I ever tasted. You see, Malaysia American Breakfast set sucks ball!! The sausage are just bland meat that tastes like water. The breakfast set here is DA BOMB!!!

The place is strategically located nearby H&M and you just have to exit at Garrett's popcorn inside 313 Somerset.

SINGAPORE DAY 1: WICKED!

The minute we landed at Changi, we needed food!!! Singapore is the home to some glorious food! We visited No Signboard Seafood for some dim sum at Vivo City. The dim sum was very nice. Fried to a crisp and the food was indeed, glorious!

Had some fun at the children's playground after that! Even though, it's meant for 12 years old and below!

Around 7.30PM was our show! Front row seats!!! I was seated right at the back of the music conductor!!! I really do not have any idea how anyone could possibly enjoy the show all the way at the back! The front seats was simply amazing! It's like HD!!!

I've always loved going back to Singapore. I love the shopping, which I spent a tiny fortune at H&M, Forever 21 and Kinokuniya. Going to have more food and shopping on Day 2. Gosh! I love Singapore!!!!

I know it's long overdue because I went to Snoworld back in mid December. Blame the assignments and exams. I had so much fun!!! What sucked was, it's not really snow per se. It's just ice, lots and lots of it...

I felt like I'm in a mortuary. It wasn't that cold, hence, the shorts! The snow cap and gloves were for show! Had tones of fun with Eunisa but we couldn't go on rides because i-City only comes alive at night. Which sucks balls.... BIG TIME.

Bag Dilemma

I love the Mulberry bag but since i can't afford it yet, i have to settle. I found this 2 bags which I love because it more or less looks like the Mulberry bag. These 2 bags cost more or less the same and there's not much difference hence, the dilemma! I've not bought any bags for myself and I kinda need a new bag for casual use (everyday) and fits my iPad.

Please tell me what you think? Pretty please?

This bag is the Florence Lady bag from Accessorize and I like it because of the design. Many people don't like the color but this color will last because I'm a messy person and when I use it daily, the dirtiness won't show.

This bag is the Green Lydia Day bag from Miss Selfridge which many people liked because of it's color. In fact, I love this bag too coz the color is so pretty and brighter than the picture.

Christmas at Pavillion with Kysha

The 3 young girls, Me, Kysha and Ying Ning!

Me, Madrekins and Yan Yan 'kidnapped' Kysha for a day out in Pavillion. Kysha is the perfect little girl to hang out with and gosh, I love her to bits and pieces!!!! She's always fun, playing around and she always listens to you.

You know those brats running around in malls screaming? How about those brats that wants something and will throw a fit if they don't get it? How about those kids who insist they wanna go home because you're not shopping for toys? Kysha is so proper, she doesn't do any of the scenarios.

She's so easy to take care, she eats anything we eat, and she doesn't pick her food and when they spent 2 hours in Sg. Wang looking for a prom dress for Ying Ning, Kysha doesn't even complain one bit. You know me, I would complain that it's crowded, stuffy, idiotic people but this little girl, just walks around looking at things.

She's very well behaved, easy to take care and GOSH! She's not like any other little girls out there. If I ever have a daughter, I would want her to be like Kysha. Very smart, very girly, very fun, very well behaved, loves her Mommy and Daddy, very talented, and pretty.

I've been an extremely good girl. My marks for this semester is great and I could say that I did pretty well judging by the fact I had no prior experiences in this course. I've been living a much fulfilled life since I started donating and helping the strays. I make it a point to donate to the National Kidney Foundation and PAWS.

Immanuel Kant has always been my favorite philosopher because he managed to sum humanity up and allow us to more or less, understand "creatures" called humans. I don't know why God and even Greek Gods love humans, either that, they created us but there's nothing good in humanity.

As I'm writing this, I realized that as long as money exist, humanity is doomed. Humans, in their DNA is incapable of doing good and Kant said that, "From such crooked wood as that which man is made of, nothing straight can be fashioned."

In Nottingham alone, you can find lots of shitty people, from the lecturers to the students. I'm only grateful of the knowledge I will gain in this place and the 2-3 friends that I have. I used to be such an idealist that people are nice and etc but I guess I was wrong.

What I learnt in Political Economy is that, people will always maximize their gains and in other words, they're always gonna do things that will benefit them and they are selfish in nature. Whereas, what I learnt in Theories and concepts in IR is that, humans are evil in nature.

Why do I want to spend the rest of my life trying to change the world and trying to make this world a better place when the humans should be doomed? I don't feel sorry for the millions of people affected by nature in Japan or China. I think they deserved it because these people are the worst.

I FEEL KINDA LOST RIGHT NOW. I guess what Ntawi told me before was true. "Michelle, know your focus. You're not here to make friends or try to impress people, you're here to study, get your Masters and get out of this shit hole"

Everyone told me that "Machiavellian" was the way to go. Its better to be feared than to be loved. Though, I loved The Prince, I've never agreed on Niccolo's idea. I've always believed that being loved is better than being feared.

Guess what my lovely aunty did? She purposely drove ALL THE WAY from SG to MY to deliver my birthday present!!!! My Wicked tickets!!! The pack came with 2 front row seat tickets, 2 drink vouchers and 2 gift vouchers!!!

Wicked is a Broadway musical that tells us about the story of Wizard of Oz and before Dorothy and Toto dropped in and her house crashed on the Wicked Witch of the West or in this case, Elphaba. I enjoyed Gregory Maguire's novel titled Wicked which I picked up many years ago.

I kinda like "fairy tale" history. It's like, the movie, Snow White: A Tale of Terror. Anyways, will be flying into SG and I have my whole itinerary mapped out. I wanna visit H&M, Abercrombie, Kinokuniya and my "must visit" Vivo City. I love that place!!!

Can't wait to be done with my work load so I can take a few days off and enjoy my holiday! I still cannot believe that I'll be watching Wicked up close and personal!!! Super duper stoked!!!! I don't mean to sound corny but I think I'm defying gravity already.

GROUPON: Buffet at Temptations, Renaissance Hotel.

Bought another Groupon for a buffet dinner at Temptations at Renaissance Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. This time we went with the law firm. We went with Shila, Izaati, Yan Yan, Kala and Madrekins.

If only I checked foursquare before spending 65 MYR on the vouchers. There were 20 over comments on foursquare about this place. The food wasn't good, etc. The place was impressive or maybe anywhere with a chocolate fountain is impressive to my standards but I didn't even touched the fountain because it was white chocolate.

The food was moderate and I tried most of the food and was stuff. The most delis food was the chicken bao, prawn salad, coleslaw, chicken salad, raspberry jelly and I can't remember anything else. The food wasn't that memorable.

We definitely will not return. The original price was 160 MYR, which is sooo NOT worth it!

Kant, Hobbes VS. Cunt, Calvin & Hobbes

I know that life isn't easy. I know that it things were easy, it's not worth it. I know that I should be writing my assignment and not blogging. I know I shouldn't be complaining and I should just "suck it up". I know I should be doing a lot of things, but, I now know that continuing my MA is very, very hard.

I haven't been sleeping, and when I do manage to fall asleep, I dream about Kant, Hobbes, ASEAN, Perpetual Peace, Leviathan and I wake up. I've been short tempered too. Flying into rages of fury especially when I'm driving.

My life is just Uni and assignment. LOML complains that I make LOML do his assignments as well. I'm almost always tapping away in front of the computer and LOML tries really hard to make my life easy. LOML makes sure that I eat and does the assignments next to me. I guess, it's just the companionship that makes keeps me sane. The only thing we do, is assignments.

What do you think of my "wonderful" life? I do however feel blessed that Madrekins is so supportive and understanding. She makes sure that I eat, and she never once pressured me with her expectations and she keeps finding ways to keep me sane.

She keeps "mi alma" strong in her own way and I'm grateful. I guess that I'll be more appreciative once this is over. I thought working was stressful but one thing about work is that, after 6pm, my stress ends and I enjoy my weekends. Studying means never ending stress and stress even during the weekends.

MA teaches me that everyone around me loves me very much. I'm surrounded with people who loves me. Thank you Lord. Amen.

Shopping Trip /Halloween

For Halloween, LOML got me these cute and extremely delish Godiva Caramel Apple Truffles! Really miss Godiva!!
The Cocker Spaniel was feeling really cold since it's raining nowadays. He got the blanket and I got the flu.

This the the Chicken Lebanese Wrap. I love Middle Eastern food. Huge fan. I love Shawarma and now, Lebanese Wrap!
This was during a Halloween deco fest at 1 Utama. This is as close as I get to Halloween. This part of the world, don't really celebrate Halloween, i guess.
My feet has been aching for 2 weeks now. Decided to invest in a proper shoes such as Fitflop. Quite pricey, so I intend to wear it everyday for a year to cover the cost!

Again, we recently purchased a Groupon voucher for Fajitas at Frontera in Jaya One. I love everything Spanish/Mexican but I don't quite like Fajitas. Anyways, the chicken is tenderly cooked with peppers and onions and it was delicious! I was kinda filled with Al Amar Lebanese food from Pavillion.

They seem to have a few exciting items on their menu. Will definitely give it a try. Food was good, service was moderate and ambiance was good. Makes you feel like drinking Sol: Cervizas Importadas. Too bad, the waiters don't speak Spanish though!

GROUPON: Murall Beauty House

Couple of months ago, I purchased a Groupon voucher for Keloid Treatments. Those of you who aren't aware, I have really bad keloid on my ears. It's 1cm in diameter and it's bulging out of my ears. I've lived with it for about 6 years now.

Been to many beauty clinics and sought treatment. Most of them always, almost, recommends steroid jabs. I have hormonal issues and I don't like the idea of steroids being injected into my body. Anyways, I found this offer and decided to try.

Met Kelly, she's really nice and friendly and she told me that my condition was hereditary and after 3 treatments, I will never see the keloid again. I saw the difference after 1 session. I have to stab myself in the ear and it was bleeding and after all the messiness, my ear lobe is much better.

I can finally tie my hair up and expose my ear lobes. Kelly doesn't use steroids, instead, she uses liquid nitrogen at -196 degrees sprayed directly on the keloid. Will update this post with the picture of my dried up keloid.

GROUPON: Harmony Energy Beauty, IOI Boulevard

Purchased a Groupon voucher for Harmony Energy Beauty that includes Deep Sea Mineral Salt Scrub, Steam Bath, Aromatherapy Jacuzzi and Massage lasting for a blissful 2 whole hours!!! My whole body is overworked and I was experiencing pain and lethargy in every part of my body from head to toe.

The minute me and Yan Yan stepped into the place, we were welcomed by a dimly lit, woodenly peaceful and serene ambiance. We were then ushered into a room to change into our bikinis and my plump body got wonderfully scrubbed and the scrub smelt so nice and relaxing.

She generally scrubbed me from shoulder to feet and no time to feel shy as I lay there naked, fats and tummy exposed. Then, she ushered me into a steamer. I felt like a chicken being steamed over and over again. I felt every pore being opened and my layer of fats on my skin.

I was sweating like a fat women doing push ups but i was just sitting there in the steam. After that, I enjoyed my relaxing time in the jacuzzi!!! I love being submerged in lavender smelling water until i turn into a wrinkly dry prune.

The last and final part was the massage. I throughly, immensely enjoyed my massage. The massage was done by a nice Malay lady and she massaged me real good. I was having a slight runny nose and within 3 minutes of her massaging my nose, it was gone miraculously.

For those who knows that I was suffering from a bad feet for almost 2 weeks, can be rest assured that it's gone!! Just like that!!! Gone with the wind!! You can literally hear your bones creaking and she realign my veins and blood flow system.

My Fav Weekend

I love breakfast. There is some truth in the saying, Breakfast is the most essential meal of the day and when I'm in Pavillion, our fav go-to breakfast place has got to be La Bodega. Love their Big Breakfast! I recently discovered their tapas, and maaan!!! Damn bloody good!
For lunch, it's normally something light and my current craving is Dome's Chicken Pie. Beautifully golden crisp cap on top of chicken and mushroom chunks in a most deliciously creamy broth! I love to take the cap off and tear it into little pieces and mix them into the broth. So good and wholesome kinda feeling.
I finally found Paul Frank Lip Balm!! Love that it has no color and my flavor is Clancy's Cotton Candy and it smells heavenly!! It smells so adorable, if there's even such a scent?
I couldn't help it. I caved in and bought something not discounted. But I got 10% off because I'm a student. I bought this lovely one shoulder Butterfly sleeve top from Forever 21. Recently, we've been getting some great deals from Forever 21 but I had to fall in love with this top. Price: 95MYR.
This lovely beaded sundress is from Debenhams. The original price was 198MYR but after discount, it is only 90MYR. I have an unexplainable obsession with sundresses. I love, love sundresses!!! They're so basic, pretty and easy to wear!
I have some kind of an unspoken luck with bargain stuff. I can always find great stuff at reduced price and they're mostly last piece and really cheap. Last time, I got myself a floral dress from Cotton On for a mere 30MYR!!! I found this at Forever 21, in a bargain corner for only 95MYR!! Original price was 139MYR.

As long as I can remember, weekends was shopping with Madrekins, Yan Yan and Candy. In a way, bringing a whole new meaning to the word Retail Therapy. I cannot describe how therapeutic it is to be shopping and eating.

I'd rather go shopping than to pay a shrink.

My New Pet: Gary

I'm not sure if anyone keep snails as pets but you know that i'm a SpongeBob fanatic, so, I kinda in-a-way, adopted 7 snails as my pet. You guessed it, I named them Gary. For those ignorant ones, Gary is a snail and he's SpongeBob's pet.

They may look disgusting to some and they might steal The Cocker Spaniel's food once in a while but I still love them. At first, I started with 1 Gary, then more came and currently, there's 7 of them.

This box was given by LOML and it was all wrapped up with a huge ass ribbon. He always said that I'm like a kid, so, he purposely wrapped it up in a huge ass ribbon so I can make myself happy by opening a gift!
I thought he was just kidding about the iPad, but when I opened the box, I saw this!!! I was excited already!!
This is how the unboxing should look like. After removing the iPad, you should technically see this, the adaptor, charger, manual, etc.
Then, I had so much of fun shopping for a cover!!! I found this lovely coral colored Charles & Keith one and the pictures does it no justice! It's a lovely gift.
This is such a thoughtful gift. Thanks to him, I'm the coolest kid in Uni!!! LOL!! Just kidding.

I had a very "Apple"tastic birthday this year. I'm one happy girl. All those gizmos that you could only play at Apple stores, I own them all. I'm very blessed to have my family, LOML, friends that made my birthday so memorable.

I love my MacBook Air and my iPad and all my gifts and not to mention my birthday party!!! This was one hell of a birthday and I'm wondering how anyone could top this year's birthday? I'll be graduating next year September (hopefully!!! Finger, arms, legs and toes crossed!)

For family members, we normally celebrate my Chinese birthday according the the Chinese calendar to avoid sharing the same birthday as my brother. So, as far as family is concerned, we normally celebrate One day after Mid Autumn Festival which is 13 September.

This is what i got for my birthday this year. I doubt any present would be able to top this birthday. I really enjoyed this year's birthday very much. I feel so blessed, so loved and so happy. For my birthday next year, All I want is my MA cert. That was my wish as I blow off the candles on the cake this year.

Where delicious food and extraordinary nature meet... Beautiful place and good food. Just the way I like it!

If I'm gonna be writing something other than my thesis and assignments, I have to write about my recent trip to Penang with Madrekins, Candy and Yan Yan. I was feeling stressed up and any excuse for a trip to leave KL is fine with me.

It's been, almost a month that I've been in Uni. Sometimes, I feel so stupid compared to the other students who actually knows what the lecturers are talking about. International Relations couldn't be difficult but it's damn more challenging than my degree.

I was stressed out during my Degree because I was an overachiever. I wouldn't settle for anything less than a Distinction. Now, I would be over the moon if I even get a Distinction or an equivalent grading system here.

Really needed a short break and have to tackle 4 essays and 2 presentations by December. How cool is that? Here are some pictures for you to enjoy and maybe if you're adventurous like us, you would just pick a brochure from the hotel and travel there.

I told you I was crazy over Swarovski. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I couldn't afford to buy their jewelry even though I love the latest Wings of Poetry Collection. Hence, was hoping that anyone could get me the jewelry. But I did manage to get the pen. That's all I could afford, for now.

I'm starting Uni soon and I do need a pen. Well, this pen costs 135MYR. I'm old school when it comes to writing. God knows how much I enjoy writing. I love beautiful writing instruments and fine writing stationeries. *coughs*Moleskine addict *coughs*

Between an expensive jewelry, I would rather prefer fine writing instruments anytime. Writing is a dying art. Not everybody can write. You're either born with it or you have to spend tens of thousands to get qualified to write. Thanks to my Dad, I was born with it and thanks to my Mom, I got the qualification to write.

Call me old school but I dread e-mail, I love "Dear John" love letters, simplicity in writing and gets straight to the point. Dear John letters are so romantic and you have to watch the movie or read the book to understand. Have yet to receive any "Dear John" letters. Been waiting for those letters for 15 years now... The postman probably got lost and was too stubborn to ask for directions.

This was the promo poster we saw and doesn't the ribs look so tempting? Because of this, we decided to try.

Over the weekend; Me, Madrekins, Yan Yan and Candy made our annual trip down to KL. We don't normally like KL as we prefer our 1 Utama but sometimes, we just go to KL for the variety. We decided to try Morganfield's. It's next to Red Box by the entrance of Padini. It was love at first sight because it looked so good at the poster near the information counter!

Since Yan Yan wanted to collect her tourist discount card, we decided to try after looking at the poster. The ribs were extremely tender. The call their ribs, sticky bones and they were sticky and delicious. The meat literally clung on the bones and the marination seeped all the way to the bones!

The waiters was even more world class. One of the waiters was from China and she was the sweetest girl ever. Customer service here is THE BEST. Even Madrekins was impressed. And Candy was happy that she gave the girl tips. Morganfields is a nice place. The food is good, we actually ordered a platter but I forgot to take a picture because we finished it.

For tea, we had Theobroma Chocolate Lounge. I love the waffle. So fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, decadently covered with chocolate and strawberries.

I finally know why I'm so hyped up over my birthday... I'm depressed. You see, I have a very bad bipolar condition when it comes to feelings. When I'm happy, every little thing makes me smile, I'm nice to everyone and I'm like, high on drugs...

When I'm depressed, I don't wanna leave the house and I'm mean to everyone and I hate everything. I'm very much Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Sometimes, I get so depressed that I just wanna be left alone. Please don't interact with me.

I'm leaning towards depression and nobody could see that. A Mac doesn't make you happy, it just distracts you from being depressed and delay the inevitable. I haven't been very happy these past few weeks.

I hate it that no one notices it and I feel sad, angry and lost. I just wanna stay out of the house and go home exhausted and sleep. I don't wanna face my parents. I just wanna do my own shit.

The office can really break your spirit and kill your soul. It takes over your life because you generally spend 10 hours in the office and 2 hours commuting between your office and your house. Thats 12 hours gone out of 24 hours.

I just wanna put sad smileys all over the place but I'm trying hard to fight the depression. I'm trying to be excited about my birthday and present, I'm going out more with my friends to avoid being crazy. But every morning, the depression just comes.

I hate it that everyone wants to have a say about what I should do, how I should act as if I'm their puppet! I have feelings and I'm technically an adult, that gives me constitutional right to practically do anything I want.

I feel so suffocated and controlled. I lost my fighting spirit and I just wanna leave everything and everyone and go away for a few days. What I'm doing now for 12 hours, is painful. The fact I have to go through it everyday? I feel like dying or giving up.

I really don't know, I feel like succumbing to my depression but I don't like myself when I'm depressed. I feel like I'm living a lie and to everyone else besides me, they think I'm the happiest girl in the world. I'm tired. I'm tired of living this lie.

I'm not happy. I'm depressed. I hate everything and I just wanna get lost. Apparently, everything that I do isn't enough. I have to live up to everyone's expectations.

Fuck this.

I've always wanted a Mac, I have an unexplained affinity towards Apple products eventhough, I've never owned an iPhone. I'm more of a BB girl. Anyways, for my birthday (48 more days), Mother got me a be-early birthday present + going back to Uni + Graduation gift.

Let me tell you something about shopping in an Apple store, lots of people pack the store to play with the technology they can't afford. I know that Apple stuff are quite expensive but trust me, it's sooooo worth every cent.

Then, you go in there and tell the people that you want a Macbook Air 13" 256GB and they go like, "You wanna buy or see the higher spec model, but we have a cheaper model too." You see, even the people there don't think you can afford their stuff.

Then you insist, "Yes, I want to BUY the higher spec one but I want the lastest model with the i5 processor" That will get their attention, they will start rushing and suddenly, you're the only customer and other customers hate you because the person serving them, flocked to you recommending stuff.

You see, for those mac noobs, there's 2 models of Macbook Air; The older version with a dual core processor (which you can get for 500MYR cheaper from machines, Sunway Pyramid)and the latest (just launched 1 week) version with the i5 processor.

Well, you'll generally get tonnes of stares and I got scared, I had to change tables at Vietnam Kitchen because a whole group of guys were eye-ing my bag and people actually stopped and stared and it's just ridiculous! Had to go home straight away.

Anyways, I'm loving my 5K gift and can't wait to start school and get my iPad 2!! (keeping fingers crossed!)

Nanoblock

I bet that not many of you know what are nanoblocks, right? Have you heard about it? Well, Nanoblocks are 3D Japanese Lego, (in a nutshell!) But don't get scared when I tell you that these blocks are so tiny, it makes Lego seem like a giant! The smallest nanoblock is a mere 4x4x5mm.

This bag of 130 nanoblocks cost me 29.90MYR and the difficulty level is only Level 2, out of 4 levels.

These tiny blocks are then made into animals and buildings and even a drum set! I love it because I love challenging my mind. I'm so addicted to it! It took me less than an hour to complete the giraffe and already, my fingers are starting to itch!

I still consider myself a noob when it comes to stuff like these. I love buildng stuff and I love challenging puzzles. I hate puzzles that mess with your brains but these nanoblocks, they are awesome. You need to be able to read and follow instructions.

I faced some problems when I was building the giraffe's neck and I had to dismantle the whole piece! It's not easy but it's very rewarding. I'm so addicted and I love it so much that I plan to get more animals to build. And not to worry, I have most of the buildings on my birthday wish list!

It's gonna be my birthday in 55 days. I'm so excited!!!! I've just been thinking about my birthday plans. Do I want a party or just pass the day with a handful of close friends? I love intimate affairs but on the other hand, my birthday can be a meeting point where everyone meets!

But I do know 1 thing, I want lots of purple and pink balloons! Oh, and not forgetting, I want tonnes of presents!!! Actually compiling the list right now... I can give you a hint, this year, I'm a huge fan of Swarovski! Namely, the Wings of Poetry Collection!

Hester's Open House

There was so much of good food! Ah Jun's mom cooked most of the stuff; the 3 kinds of noodles and the chicken wings! And I never knew Hester could make chilli dipping sauce!

Dr. Sharon's mom made this lovely jelly cake! It was delicious, milky and not too sweet.

Big Boss and his wife Dr. Nancy and their 2 lovely daughters; Joey and Mabel.

I was a bit blur, hence the nonsical grinning like a Cheshire cat! This is with Pei Yee, she miss me so much! *muahahaha*

Seafood Chowder

Since The Father and The Brother was in Segamat for Crystel's wedding, and I was extremely tired from cooking and studying that we decided to treat ourselves! (Me and The Mother)

She has never been to Sunway Giza and after walking the whole place, we finally decided to have Italian. d'italiane'kitchen is a cosy and nice place. Certain foods were delicious! I especially loved the risotto!

Risotto is a very delicate dish. It has to achieve a delicate balance between, creamy and light and deliciousness! They accomplished just that. The salad however, is a bit too tangy/too much rocket (i think) some bitter veggie for my liking.

The chowder however, let's just say I could make a better chowder. I love my chowder loaded with seafood, hence, it's appropriately called seafood chowder! Had one of the best seafood chowder in Aussie. Seafood, fully loaded!

Anyways, after we left, we saw lots of people eating the pizza. Must be good, we should try that the next time.

Time of That Month

A couple of nights ago, The Cocker Spaniel was barking NON STOP at 12 AM, we turned all the lights on (like it was day!) and when Padre threw a mixture of rice and salt, The Cocker Spaniel stopped barking and ran into the house and...

THAT BIG BUFFALO ATTEMPTED TO HIDE UNDER THE COUCH!!!

For those who knows our family and Skipper, will know that:

1) Skipper DOESN'T bark at night. He's a lazy bum, he crawls under the car and sleeps till morning.

2) Skipper DOESN'T and DARE NOT run into the house. He's extremely terrified of mother and mother yells at him if he ever dares run into the house.

I went upstairs and decided to look out the window because the commotion was terrible. Skipper kept quite but the dogs 2 houses down the road started barking like crazy!

Imagine my shock when I saw things, beyond this world. There was an amber "opening" in the sky with lighting surrounding it and "movements" around the street. From the trees to the houses, there were a lot of movements. Unfortunately I couldn't see much because we have no street lights.

I've seen so many things that these didn't seem to scare me. Given a choice, I wouldn't want to "see" them. Who in their right mind would want that? It's an amalgamation of feelings. Just 2 days ago, I was walking to my car and I again saw something by the side of the road.

I smelt them. When I asked my friends if they smelt anything, they said nothing and when I looked around, I saw a shadow and then it disappeared. But, I can still sense it's presence. I hurried everyone to leave. They do not have long necks and bloated bellies, FYI.

I guess, it's that time of the month where Hungry Ghosts are amongst us. So far, they seem to be harmless. As long as they leave me alone, I'm happy. I've never been able to see them before until the incident in my room, but, that's a different story.

La Bodega, Pavillion, KL.

The bestest American breakfast in the whole country has got to be at La Bodega in Pavillion, I dare say! The English Breakfast (27 MYR) is my absolute favourite, hands down.

I love mushrooms, I especially love sauteed mushrooms and my gosh! it has to be one of the bestest mushrooms ever! I suspect that they sauteed it lightly over the bacon oil. You know how aromatic bacon are especially if it's pork bacon. The smell is out of this world!

The eggs can be cooked however way you want it but I like it sunny side up. Man, you can never go wrong with sunny side up! But would like the poached egg though! (Be more classy!)

The bacon and sausages were heavenly! Seriously, have you tried those Western Food stalls in SS2 corner coffeeshops? Oh my, makes you appreciate whatever you eat. I have no idea what kind of sausages they use, but it is tasteless, and I couldn't even swallow it!

These sausages are polar opposites! These are highly delicious, meaty and oh so orgasmic. Sorry, good breakfast always make a dull day, brighter. You really feel as if you are ready to take on the world! Boo-yah!!!

Anyways, the Paella Valenciana Mixta (RM30/pax) was decadent. I don't use "decadent" to describe food escept desserts, but this dish is very rich and aromatic that just looking at it, makes you full. The rice is seeping in Spanish herbs and preparation and it's delicious!

Overall, I love La Bodega and will be haunting it soon! Mother and Yan Yan loves it because it's so perfect to people watch and to be seen! Al fresco dining and people watching you sip your latte/mocha as they trot around in their heels. Lovely Sunday, indeed!

I haven't travelled in a while. This is the longest I've been in one place at a time. I've been here far too long. I need to fly. I've been too comfortable with the bird seeds, human love, my little water dish, my many, many snacks and my golden gilded cage.

I miss my freedom. I even forgot how it felt being up in the skies, flapping my wings and the wind gently caressing my feathered body. I forgot the feeling of discovering new places and trying new bird snacks. I forgot everything.

Very soon, I will be too old and fat to even fly around anymore. I guess this gilded cage that holds me will also be my casket. I've been too comfortable I forgot my principles. I remember how valiantly I fought against the gilded cage.

I finally tried Korean BBQ eventhough I think it's over-rated with Daorae and the likes of it. I've never wanted to try Korean food but I love Indian, Mediterranean, Lebanese, Arab, French, Shanghainese, Italian, Spanish, Malay and generally I love all types of food, even Japanese.

I swear that the Japanese makes the most wicked tempura and nothing fries better than Panko. I have virtually no problems with Japanese food. Korean food on the other hand is an acquired taste.

No, I enjoy spicy food but I have no liking for kimchi. I do love a good wasabi though. I love good food, my friends from all over the world makes really good food and brings them to me. I've had Turkmenistan's Plov and Nigerian's Plaintain.

One of my best friend is Korean and surprisingly, even she prefers Western food and tapas to Korean. She's a huge fan of La Bodega. I guess, I'm just not a fan of Korean food. The only thing I occasionally enjoy is the Korean seafood pancake.

Anyways, Hwangsil is located at Neo Damansara. If you're familiar with La Gomera, it's in the same vicinity. We ordered pork back and pork loin and it was ok. It tasted like the pork bacon that Mom used to buy from Meaty/Tesco.

I like fuss free dining and Korean comes with lots of tiny dishes filled with tiny stuff and I think it's pretentious and snobby. I'm not used to stuff like that and like Arab/Lebanese food, I love the dips and they aren't as pretentious as Korean food.

Personally, eating Korean food is like the first dinner with your girlfriend's family. Difficult to swallow, pretentious and most of all, you feel as if you're worthless and classless.

Little Italy, Puchong

Daddy's Risotto with chicken and mushroom. The moisture is just nice because a good risotto has to be creamy but not too creamy and not too dry. I find it difficult to achieve it but they have done a good job at it.

My dinner. Chicken and mushroom tagliatelle in creamy sauce which was delicious in its own right. I don't have any other chicken and mushroom tagliatelle to compare it to!

Little Italy is a small, cosy, homey restaurant tucked away at the corner of Bandar Puteri from traffic and prying eyes. We arrived at 7:10PM for dinner and at 7:20 Daddy's risotto arrived. My Tagliatelle arrived 25 minutes later.

Please bear in mind that the other tables that came later, already got their food. After 30 minutes, Mother's Fish and Chips still isn't ready and she got pissed off and cancelled the order.

It's a small place that has less than 15 tables and when we arrived, there were less than 5 tables. To screw up our order (then we noticed that other tables were complaining as well) is just too fucked up because no thanks to them, they ruined a perfectly good family dinner for us.

The food was moderately good, not as great but edible. Tiramisu is a turn off as well. Soggy and not a hint of rum. I may not know how to cook but I've eaten countless amount of delicacies in the world to know how they should taste.

Anyways, we take Sunday dinners very seriously. The Parentals and I are mostly busy during the weekdays and the only time we sit down as a family to have dinner is on Sundays. The place seems like a family restaurant but it's just ridiculous to make a family eat one by one.

Guess we won't be back.

Peach Pie.

Made peach pie over the weekend. Was craving for pie and watched French Food At Home as well as Rachel Allen Bake! so I was tv pressured into baking.

I've always used the same recipe for my You Can't Go Wrong Apple Pie. This is the best crust recipe that I've used for as long as I baked and today, instead of Granny Smiths, i decided to use a can of near expiry peaches!

It was plump, juicy, sweet and tangy. The extra crust was made into Little Men, but my Mommy accidentally burnt them all in the oven because she was too busy eating her Pork Noodle!

Poor,poor, little men!!! *sobs*

Craft Brews, Mutiara Damansara

I love this new place by Mutiara Damansara called Craft Brews. I love the pork ribs because it's tender to the bone and juicy while the wedges are made from real potatoes, not those flour stuff! I love it that the platter has the most delicious BBQ chicken.

The ribs was tender and juicy and even the bone tastes soooo good! The meat just falls off the bones and the marinate reaches the bones. You know me, I'm a huge fan of pork ribs and I've generally tasted most pork ribs in PJ and i have yet to find the best pork ribs in Malaysia.

The best pork ribs goes to Singapore's King Louis. But, it's safe to say that Craft Brews is more than a bierhaus. They have the best pork ribs (in my opinion) in Malaysia.

I'm an avid fan of Groupon and decided to buy the coupon for Craft Brews. Took Candy there for her birthday as well as Yan Yan and Mother. They enjoyed the food immensely. What I'm addicted to is the dessert.

We had the Moist Chocolate Brownie which was heavenly! Really satisfied my chocolate cravings!!! It's 2 pieces of the most warm, luxurious, moist chocolate brownies with chocolate sauce and nutty chocolatey goodness. But it doesn't end there, on top of those 2 brownie, a huge dollop of vanilla ice cream!!!

It's like heaven and hell, ice and fire and suddenly, the world makes sense. The warm chocolatey goo with the ice cold melt in your mouth vanilla ice cream, so ORGASMIC!!!

MA in IR

Part of my application for my Masters required me to write “a few lines or so” to “briefly” explain why I wanted to do my Masters and what do I plan to do after my Masters.

Took me approximately 5 months to finally sit down and take these questions seriously and start on my application. In a nutshell, I wanted to do my Masters in International Relations just because I want to work with the UN or EU.

To be pragmatic, having a Masters will ensure that you get a better job with a higher pay. But I don’t think this is the same if you plan to do a MA in IR. The whole concept of IR itself doesn’t specify a job that you can earn tones of money or make your first million before you turn 35. If it’s about the money, you’re better off doing your MBA and claw your way up the ladder.

Firstly, let me define the concept of IR. International Relations is the study of relationships between countries and understanding the world and making sense of issues and finding a solution to make the world a better place.

The study of IR covers issues like poverty, gap between the rich and the poor, humanitarianism, politics, sovereignty and security. Before this, I was just a happy girl travelling and getting everything I wanted. I was so protected that I have no idea what is going on outside in the world. My world revolved around shopping, chic lits and relaxation therapies. I knew more about Christian Louboutin than people like Aung San Suu Kyi.

It was during a Globalization class during my degree that made me realized that so many things are going on and we are all connected. Just because Malaysia is in South East Asia, it doesn’t mean we are not affected by the Bali bombings or even 9/11. The whole world is interrelated and like the ripple effect, we get affected directly or indirectly.

I don’t want to compare myself to Buddha but I would say that I felt like Siddhartha Gautama when he first wandered out of his palace and saw suffering which he then decided on meditation to find a way to alleviate the people’s suffering. When he finally achieved nirvana, he was known as Buddha “Enlightened One”.

I guess I just want to make the world a better place. Once the world is a better place, people will be less mean and like a karmic circle, the world becomes a better place. Now, wouldn’t that be great?

Anyways, I have to get back to my application. Just wanted to get all these ideas out of my head or at least put them in words so I can string them into proper sentences. Come next September, I hope to graduate, I hope. Wish me luck!

Sometimes I wonder if I have what it takes? Can an empathetic heart be successful in her endeavors’? I recently thought of giving up. I’ve never given up before, until this year. This is coming from a girl who had 3 jobs in 3 months. Been attending a few funerals (3 to be exact!) in 1 month. The recent funeral was Natalie Chin’s (my cousin) grandma. Somehow I fell in love with 2 Timothy 4:7; I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Instead of associating it with death, I just read this line over and over so I won’t give up. Just keep holding on, have some faith and things will get better. Instead of trying to change the environment, I should start by changing myself. I don’t think I’m extremely brilliant, but I do know that I have a good heart and I feel too much and I’m too just.

I tend to confuse pride with principles and for me; self fulfillment in Marlow’s Hierarchy of Needs plays an important factor. Anyways, my train is getting ready to leave this station. Trains can’t stop in a station for too long.

Busy Bee!

Been extremely busy in making sure that the new addition to Patrick's little family is comfortable. These ones are like real babies. Unlike the previous 2 (Paddy & Pushkin) that refuses human contact, these babies love human contact.

They love being in your palm and falling asleep. They love being stroke and petted and when you put your finger near their mouth, they suckle your finger. I love them so much. It's so relaxing when you see the whole family in the cage and the babies running around.

Well, more piggies mean more poopsicles so, been busy keeping them clean and hunting for a new home for Patrick. He will have his own little cage now on. I can't possible get rid of him because, well, I love him loads.

He's my big, huge piggy!!! I wish I can quit my job and be a full time mommy to them. I guess if I ever become a Mommy to a human baby, that's what I'll do. I'm getting so atached to them that I'm so worried, if I ever give them away, I'll be very sad.

I'm off to clean them now. And like human babies, Guinea pig pups are also born with a baby scent! Their fur are so soft unlike Papa Patrick and Mama Mimi's fur which are wiry.

After much drama (on my part!) Mimi FINALLY gave birth on the exact due date I picked. I told Madre that she'll give birth by Sunday (10th July 2011) and Padre was so excited that he woke the whole house up at 8AM on a Sunday!

Well, we always welcome new additions into Patrick's little family! We love them to bits!!! They even have the loveliest names! Oh, Say "HELLO" to Christmas, Easter and Grace.

Christmas because it's my favourite holiday...EVER! I love presents and the reds, greens and winter theme! Christmas reminds me of well, Christmas! One side of it's ears is black, the other is brown and the face is white! Cutest thing!

Easter is named Easter because I love the family concept of Easter. Where we used to visit Padre's family in N9. Besides, Easter is when Jesus rose from the dead and Easter is another of my fav because I love chocolates and the Easter bunny! *hop*

Grace is the most exquisite name because the only Christian song that can touch my heart and make me feel every note is Amazing Grace. I cannot describe that sense of sadness and heart wrenching feeling whenever I listen to Amazing Grace.

Well, They are the sweetest little creatures ever! They even behave like real babies. They actually fall asleep in your palms if you keep stroking them and they love to cuddle together or with Momma Mimi.

Patrick on the other hand, is a tad confused about them. He's being very silly. Refusing to be near them whatsoever and runs and hides whenever they accidentally wander near him. AND, he pouts unhappily in his little hut!

Madre is so excited and happy. She loves them to bits! Gonna buy a new cage for Patrick. So, do contact me if you want home bred Guinea Pigs. Not interested in selling them but if you think you can provide a home, hay, fresh fruits and food and comfortable bedding, drop me a line!

Mention “Bersih” and all Malaysians will know about the rally. Those who have no clue whatsoever about Bersih, Bersih is generally a coalition of Malaysian opposition political parties. For far too long, we Malaysians has been cheated, lied to and oppressed by these corrupted politicians.

There are too many stupid people, saying stupid things either because they are really stupid or they just want the attention. The living condition here in Malaysia has gone from bad to worst and as a Malaysian, I’m neither proud nor “grateful” to this country.

Firstly, I find this whole issue extremely entertaining and will probably write this as my thesis for my Masters because Bersih generally wants a cleaner, fairer and more transparent electoral process. At the end of the day, isn’t Malaysia a democratic country? Didn’t our forefathers died fighting for justice? Lastly, the very core foundation of an election has to be freedom of choice, isn’t it?

Election means allowing individuals an opportunity to make a decision based on the given choices. It has to be fair and not manipulated. In the Stone Age era, the representatives would probably have to battle it out, but since we’re able to think, we created such a thing called Election.

Our politicians are all highly educated, with a string of degrees from US, Australia and UK, yet, with no principles, they succumb to the lure of corruption. As more and more Malaysians are being educated internationally, they began to see your corruption and what it has cost the nation.

Those who are against Bersih mean that they are against a fair, clean and just election, why? To protect your own interest? An election is a formal procedure, meaning that, there has to be some degree of transparency. Apparently, the dead can even vote!

I’m not a Bersih supporter, don’t get me wrong. In fact, I think politics in Malaysia a big, huge BS. I don’t support any political party, neither I am passionately Republican nor am I a Democratic. I’m a firm believer of a two party system practiced in Britain/ some European countries.

Yes, I am pissed off that I won’t be able to go to Pavillion for some shopping, but I’m not going to be selfish while there are still people out there, who believe that Malaysia is worth saving and are actually fighting against the people just to ensure that the election in 2012 will be carried out “correctly”.

Personally, I don’t think Malaysia is worth saving at all. This Bersih issue transcends race or religion. It’s a matter of principles and after being oppressed for far too long, people will rebel. These are the few people that put aside their differences of race and religion to fight for a better Malaysia. Like I mentioned before, the youngsters nowadays, have no interest in dividing the country.

As much as we would like to say I hate those Malays/Indians/Chinese, we all have Indian, Chinese and Malay friends. I got robbed by Indians and as much as I would like to say that I despise them, I can’t. I love my sister and her family too much. I have tones of Malay and Indian friends that are even better than my Chinese ones.

One or two bad apples don’t mean the whole basket is rotten. Stop all these racism because education should have eradicated this kind of racist mentality. Racism makes me sick. Racism shouldn’t even exist in this globalized age. What makes Malaysia unique is our ability to live together in harmony and our melting pot of cultures.

All of us, grew up in Malaysia. Malaysia is the only idea of home we’ll ever have. No matter where we’ve been, we’ll always remember that ABC/Rojak under some tree or a short cut to the mall. That’s what makes Malaysia our home. All of us are different and all we want is to be able to live in peace. Is it so hard?

Yes, I feel as if I’m placed under house arrest like Aung San Suu Kyi but neither will I be donning my yellow Tee and going for a rally. To those who are pissed off just like me, you just have to bear with it, you should be ashamed for not willing to fight for a fairer election, because I am. I’m just going to be staying at home and probably catch up on my text books.

I hope that Prof. Neville is happy with some of my musings. For those of you, who actually took the trouble to read this, if you like it, thank you. If you don’t agree with what I wrote, I’m happy too. That means your brains are actually working and is able to agree and disagree. Will probably come under fire as well but who cares.

I’m sick of how this country is being run. I want to leave but you’ve invested most of your life here, that you want a glimmer of hope that things will get better. I used to tell people that I will leave faster than you can say “Abandon Ship!” yet; I still hope that things would change.

Anyways, have fun tomorrow. Whatever you may do, I think it’s “darurat” in KL. Try to be positive. :)

I'm a huge fan of Tex/Mex, anything Spanish and we decided to try Carlos. We rarely go down to KL, but we decided to go to Pavillion one Saturday morning and I kinda like it.

Food was averagely OK. Just not very happy that they charge 1MYR for a glass of tap water. It's ridiculous. Waiters are just there to do their jobs with not product knowledge.

There's nothing much to shout about. Maybe it's better that they do the foreigner's business because I think they're better at beverages than food.

Little Pantry, IOI Mall

WARNING: This is going to be a long post because this place is just so whimsically beautiful and the food! The food is delicious! Please proceed at your own caution because of the pink overload and pretty florals!

The name of the place is Little Pantry. At first, I thought it's just one of those another thematic "Garden" restaurants.

I couldn't help walking and getting lost in this place. How could you not walk into these colorful balloons stand welcoming you?

Every single nook and cranny has something whimsical and cute! I love bird cages because they're very vintage and intricate and it's a bird cage heaven in here!

The atmosphere is very relaxed and laid back where you can just have tea, order a slice of cake and a pot of good ol tea and talk till the cows come home!

Even the floors were not spared. I'm a hopeless sucker for anything floral. From curtains, bed spreads, to my choice of clothes. This was super cute!

The architecture here is just beautiful. Will let the rest of the pictures do the talking. A picture is worth a thousand words, right?

I have a weakness for dining sets like these. I love long tables, a vase of freshly cut flowers as the centrepiece and all the guest having fun, eating at the same table.

Lovely dining option isn't it? But we rarely have this amount of people eating at once. So, maybe, for my birthday...... ;)

This is one of my favourite pieces. A most gorgeous bird cage with a little wind chime inside of it surrounded with flowers.

For starters, we had The Soup of The Day: Cream of Carrot. I was hesitant firstly because it sounds weird. I'm used to cream of chicken/mushroom, but carrot??? I fell in love after the first sip! It was creamy, thick and carrot-y delicious!!!

My next favourite dish would be Nasi Bojari. OMG! The marinated chicken with herbs, deep fried, served with warm coloured rice, and the sambal udang is just spicy enough with young mango ulam. DELICIOUS! But, only available during lunch.

This is Stuffed Chicken Breast. A healthy alternative. Chicken breast stuffed with mushrooms and it's nice. But I still love the Nasi Bojari.

Every set lunch for 18.90MYR, comes with a tall, refreshing glass of Ice Lemon Tea. You have to try the Ice Lemon Tea. It's home made and really delicious. Tell them to cut down on the ice.

This is the lBraised Lamb Shank or some lamb dish. It's a chef recommendation. I loved the sauce and the mash! The sauce had a hint of lamb taste and it was really good accompanied with the mash.

The chicken chop is alright. Not bad. The mash potato here is really creamy and delicious. It tends to go well with everything.

For dessert, we were given two slices of mini cakes. We loved the chocolate one because of it's mousse like texture. The top is too sweet but the middle section was all mousse and it was very, extremely delicious!

My next favourite place is The Little Pantry in IOI Mall. I haven't been to IOI in ages eventhough we've lived in Puchong for more than 15 years now. Until I met Dr. Eunice. If we're ever in the mood for something fancy, we come here.

It's convenient, the staff here are really friendly and comes with good product knowledge. Very impressive and the managers are always making sure everything is OK, and all the food has arrived.

I'm a fan of pink overload and I'm so into all those cutety stuff and whimsical butterflies. Unlike Gardens, the deco here aren't for sale. It's for everyone to enjoy. The food here is a mix of good ol' Asian food as well as Western food.

I'm a very happy girl. I thank God all the time for blessing me. I thank God for being able to wake up in the mornings and do the simplest tasks such as brushing my teeth, putting on my clothes and eating.

The life we live is very fragile. God has the power to take it all away. In a split second, He can take away your family, your loved ones and even your life. I'm gratefula and if I have to do something everyday, that would be praying and being grateful. AMEN.

But here's some stuff that makes me happy....

I loved this dress from Promod. The only reason I didn't buy it was because instead of beige, the clothe looks like someone spilled coffee all over it! if not, it's a lovely dress!

I bought this nighty from Debenhams. I'm lovin all these Mega Sales. It's sweet and sexy and I love, love it!

I wanted to buy this dress from Kitchen. But I'm pragmatic, I don't think I will ever wear a white maxi dress out without looking like a bride. Hmmm...

I really, really wanted to get this because I'm superficial like this! I'm very obsessive about aging. In fact, I just wanna delay it till I'm 60 years old!

Instead, I bought Vichy product because it was a trial/promo thing. Vichy products are made in France and they uses only the best natural products. I love the Tri-Activ Anti Imperfection Hydrating Care because it's light and it's super absorbent. I'm obsessed with my skin but I don't like the whole spending time and money on my skin thing.

I'm always in the rush in the mornings, so, I would appreciate a miracle cream that tackles aging, imperfections, sun block upon a single application. Back to the Vichy cream, I would recommend this to anyone. When I put on my foundation, it glides on smoother!

I keep having dry and chapped lips from being confined to an air con environment so I thought would give this a try because I'm a sucker for all things pink and floral and the tube is just too cute! I like it but the color changed and it's too dark. I like it slightly pink not obvious pink!

Guess who got this for me? You'll never guess! It's terribly difficult to buy Gary but somehow, this Gary is mine!!! All mine!!! *HUGS*

I even got Mr. Krabs. A pressie from Mommy. You know, I've never bought any of these SpongeBob toys! They were all gifts!

SpongeBob is a gift from Darry, Patrick is a gift from Chynar, Mr. Krabs is a gift from Madre and Gary is well, a gift!

I'm a very happy and blessed girl. Thank you Lord for everything and I'm very grateful. I love You, Amen.

You know what's our (Padre, The Bro and I) favourite movie of ALL TIME??? Guess!!! SCHOOL OF ROCK!!! Wwe've watched EVERY SINGLE RERUN ON ASTRO!!! Believe it or not! We laugh at the same jokes much to The Mother's dismay! She's sick and tired of that movie!!!

Dear All,

I decided to venture into business by selling all my clothes to buy new ones! LOL! To support my endeavour, do visit Miche Shoppe to buy ORIGINAL, BRAND NEW clothes from all over the place.

The only reason I'm selling them off is because I no longer fit into them because I "put on a few lil kgs" (10KGS to be exact!) You know, office work, sit, eat, sit, eat.

My aunt fed me really well in Aussie and after 7 months, I'm truly fattened! These are clothes which I bought in Singapore and Aussie which I didn't have a chance to even wear!!!

I will miss them terribly but I'm actually saving up to buy a Macbook Air and I kinda need the money. I can tell you now, that it's not cheap because these clothes are branded and brand new (unless stated otherwise) and if you want the tag, I can attach it back to their respective garments.

I've been naughty as well, I keep buying 2-3 clothes/shoes EVERY WEEKEND I go shopping with Mother, Yan Yan and Candy. I know I'm spoilt but you know, a girl's gotta do what a girl gotta do.

Looking at these pictures, I really miss St. Angel. I miss all the animals, I miss being around them and I miss feeling fulfilled. As in, the fulfilled feeling that you're helping these animals. I really want to go back to St. Angel but I need to face reality as well.

I could still remember all their names, Amy The Oversized Pug, Tiger The Orange Persian, Blacky The LongHaired Cat, Jojo The British Shorthair, Brownie The Guinea Pig, Pany The Spoilt Rabbit and so many more.

I miss the rabbits, the cats, the dogs, and occasionally the Guinea pigs, snakes and the feathered varieties. I really miss the animal health business.

Michelle, you should have studied hard and studied to be a vet instead of all those useless degree from Murdoch. If I could only turn back the time, I would have studied real hard in high school and become Dr. Michelle by now.

Anyways, I guess I will have to visit the clinic occasionally so Baby The British Shorthair won't miss me so much. He refuses to go back into his cage once I'm carrying him, He could even fall asleep in my arms. He's spoilt, really.

Boo Boo is one of me and Dr. Eunisa's proudest achievement. Boo Boo was abandoned outside the clinic covered in lice and tummy bloated and filled with intestinal worms. We both took him as our own and took care of him until he was ready for adoption. I was wearily looking for people to adopt him and Chee Fong was looking for a dog. As you can see, he's plump and big now!

Mimi The Guinea Pig is pregnant again. I told my mom that she will give birth end of June/beginning July. We'll see how it goes. Hope they're all safe and God Bless.

Parcel from Ilmenau!

Guess what FINALLY made it to my home after months??? My parcel all the way from Ilmenau!! Remember my rantings in my previous post about parcels? My proof is right here!

After tearing off the grey paper, I got this!! The sweetest part is the post card, made me miss Nuha even more and yet excited about her return soon!

Upon opening (after much difficulties!) the box, here's the highlight of the whole parcel!!! My bottle of Jägermeister!!! But... That's not all!!!

It comes with 2 frosted Jägermeister shot glass! The bottle of Jägermeister came in the tin container! That explained how it survived the long trip all the way from Germany!

Anyways, call me a child or whatever you want because I get super,duper excited over parcels! I love ripping those paper off to reveal gifts!! Hence, I love Christmas and birthdays! Unfortunately, over the years, The Parentals stop wrapping my gift and I rarely get to tear paper open!

For those who have not a single idea what is Jägermeister, Here's an excerpt of " What's Jägermeister?"
